HYPNOS is a different kind of virtual reality technology company. We’re not just engineers and coders, but artists, allied health specialists, and nature-loving, adventure-seeking naturalists that shared a passion to develop a virtual reality experience that "felt alive" and went beyond digital immersion. HYPNOS Virtual Reality is not just "VR" but a completely unique type of Virtual Reality we call Bio-Immersion Virtual Reality (BioVR).
The technology
HYPNOS BioVR is a bio-therapeutic virtual reality system that delivers sensuous, highly lifelike natural experiences that also have the benefit to uplift mood, diminish stress, increase mental focus, and rejuvenate. Additional options also allow the tracking of brainwaves in real-time with interactive biofeedback functionality.
Naturally, HYPNOS BioVR offers more than just digital data in the user experience - it also has “bio-data”. There are three unique bio-data streams we engineered into our main system: the scentrac™ bio-aromatic airstream, our bio-dome™ scalar-wave frequency broadcaster, and our Atmosphere~Breeze™ which creates a therapeutic natural-atmospheric feeling within the user experience.
The science
Our scentrac™ bio-aromatic airstream is high-tech, so it’s not just about “smell”; it’s about neural-limbic communication. The HYPNOS bio-aromas actually communicate with the brain through nerve cells in the upper nose (olfactory bulb) for speed-of-light cognitive shifts in perception. Electroencephalogram (EEG) research and testing confirm our virtual reality experiences can actually uplift mood, diminish stress, increase focus, and heighten analytic function - it all depends on what therapy experience the user chooses. We’ve even incorporated blue-tooth EEG to record brainwave activity so users can see real-time changes in their brainwaves - and even interact with them for a virtual reality bio-feedback experience.
Our bio-dome™ scalar-wave frequency broadcasting technology brings NASA and Tesla-coil research into practical use by providing the user with earth-based electromagnetic resonance. It also helps deflect the surrounding EMF interference from electronics like cell phones, computers, 5G, and WiFi, enabling deeper levels of bio-resonance.
Our Atmosphere~Breeze™ natural airstream not only creates a natural-atmospheric feeling within the user experience but also releases mood-uplifting air molecules. Net-negative-charged air is created in nature by the effects of water, air, sunlight and the Earth's inherent radiation. That taste in the air and feeling you get at the beach, near a waterfall or after a storm is your body being saturated in the benefits of negative ions. Clinical studies have also shown exposure uplifts mood and even alleviates depression in people suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)*.
The experience
HYPNOS BioVR is a seated or reclined virtual reality experience - with or without an enclosed "privacy pod". As a bio-therapeutic virtual reality system, we developed the technology for people to experience within their companies, government offices, university campuses, and medical centers as part of a complete and enriching employee and student wellness program. It's also planned to hit select spas and lounges.

Since HYPNOS is also a software developer and OEM manufacturer, customers have the advantage of working with a firm that can create fully custom applications, as well as unique therapeutic and sensuous bio-immersion systems including in vivo Virtual Nature technologies.
The Hypnos API allows complete functionality within multiple applications such as Unreal Engine, Unity and web-based systems including standard web browsers. Licenses for Hypnos Software Development Kit (SDK) are also available for qualified organizations.
